    Enishi's Jinchuu

Enishi is Tomoe's younger brother and loves her very much. Remember in the oav, he went all the way to Kyoto to find her. Pretty dangerous for a kid to do. Anyway, when he saw his sister die, his hair turned snow white from the shock.

He left Japan and went to Shanghai. Shanghai was rough on him. Within a month, Enishi was on the verge of death. A young Japanese couple living in Shanghai find him and take him in. They treat him like a son. Enishi says he thanks God for sending him such easy prey....

He kills them. Why? He hated to see this family happy.

He finds books about Watoujutsu in the house and studies them alone. With the money, he buys weapons and sets up a mafia organization with a guy called Wu Heishin. Wu agrees to help Enishi as his "right hand man" if he can have the organization after Enishi delivers "jinchuu" (jinchuu means "man's justice.")

The jinchuu arc is all about Enishi getting revenge for the Battousai "killing" Tomoe. First thing he does is to gather up 5 people.

  • Otowa Hyouko
  • Kujiranami Hyougo
  • Gein
  • Yatsume Mumyouni
  • Inui Banshin

They all have their reasons for Battousai's death. Enishi wants Kenshin alive long enough to make him suffer. First, Enishi has Kujiranami Hyougo bomb the Akabeko. Next, in a fight between Kenshin and Enishi, Enishi deploys a smoke bomb. Gein is a master of manipulating human flesh into lifelike objects. He created a doll that looked exactly like Kaoru. When the smoke cleared, a Kaoru "doll" was in Kaoru's place with a stab through the heart and a cross shaped mark on her cheek. Enishi's jinchuu was almost complete.

During the fight, Enishi had put his hand over Kaoru's mouth and drugged her. She fell asleep and was taken to an island.

Everyone thinks Kaoru is dead and they bury the doll. Kenshin decides to never use his sword, chains it up, and wanders off to a villiage where people want to forget their lives.

Aoshi knows that Gein likes playing around with human flesh, so he suggests they dig up Kaoru and cut her open. (eww I know) They don't want to at first, but they decide to go along with Aoshi's plan. They go to her gravesite, dig her up, and lo and behold Kaoru-Doll has wires in her. Kaoru is not dead, but where is she?

They all agree not to tell Kenshin - the shock would be too much for him. If and when Kenshin were to defeat Enishi, he would go wandering again because he couldn't protect Kaoru. If he were to wander, he'd be alone and have no one to protect.

Back on the island, Kaoru wants to escape but she can't. She's cooking meals for Enishi (he doesn't like them). She notices that he gets sick whenever he tries to strangle Kaoru. Apparently, he can't kill young girls. It brings back the memories of his sister's death.

The police capture Kujiranami Hyougo but he breaks out of jail. Yahiko fights Hyougo, while Tsubame watches but Tsubame runs off to beg for Kenshin's help. It works! Kenshin wakes up again.

Whenever Enishi closes his eyes, he sees his sister smiling down at him. One day, she wasn't. Enishi comes to the conclusion that he has to kill Kenshin so they meet up again. They fight - Misao has Tomoe's diary. In it, Tomoe had written of her love for Kenshin. Enishi reads her diary and breaks down - realizing that he was wrong. He goes to that "lost soul" village Kenshin was at.

There's some parts I left out, but that's the basic story. Hope you enjoyed.
