    At first, Watsuki wasn't going to draw the Kyoto arc but he decided to go ahead with his plan. I'm sure everyone that's out there is pleased that he did. The characters and story is fantastic.

  • Saitou vs. Kenshin
  • Kenshin begins his journey to Kyoto on foot.
  • Kaoru and Yahiko go by boat to Kyoto. Sano goes by foot. Megumi stays home.
  • Kenshin meets Misao.
  • Sano meets Anji. Sano learns the Futae no Kiwami in 7 days from Anji.
  • Kenshin and Misao arrive in Shingetsu village.
  • Kenshin vs.Senkaku.
  • Kenshin vs. Seta (draw- both their swords crack).
  • Kenshin and Misao arrive in Kyoto at the Oniwanbanshuu base, the Aoiya.
  • Kenshin asks Okina about the whereabouts of Shakku Arai and Hiko.
  • Kenshin vs. Chou.
  • Kenshin aquires a new sakaba.
  • Kenshin finds Hiko in his mountain home.
  • Yahiko, Kaoru, and Misao meet. They go off to Hiko's house.
  • Misao learns that the Oniwanbanshuu have died. Aoshi's the only one left and his soul has been taken over by a shura (demon).
  • They meet Kenshin and Hiko.
  • Kenshin learns the Hiten ougi ---and kuzu ryu sen--- from Hiko in the mountains.
  • Misao, Yahiko, and Kaoru go back to the Aoiya.
  • Shishio and Aoshi make an alliance.
  • Okina vs. Aoshi fight.
  • Misao sees Aoshi after the fight. She claims she's the okashira (Oniwanbanshuu leader) now.
  • Misao and company learn that Shishio plans to set fire to Kyoto. They defeat Shishio's henchmen.
  • Kenshin, Sano and Saitou go to Osaka harbor. Shishio is on a black battleship called the Rengoku. Just before they sink the battleship with the help of Sano's pineapple bombs, Shishio gets to escape.
  • Kenshin, Sano, and Saitou go to Shishio's headquarters.
  • Kamatari, Iwanbo, Fuji & Roujin arrive at the Aoiya. They battle with Kaoru, Yahiko, Misao and the Oniwabanshu. (and later on Hiko saves their butts)
  • Sano vs. Anji.
  • Saitou vs. Usui.
  • Aoshi vs. Kenshin.
  • Kenshin vs. Seta.
  • Aoshi vs. Shishio. ---- Saitou Vs. Shishio
  • Kenshin vs. Shishio.
  • Kenshin-gumi party for a month in Kyoto.
  • Aoshi mediates to find his inner self again.
  • Kenshin-gumi leave for Tokyo.
